MPVISIONS 2013 BRATTLEBORO VT. WITH LAURA

 Over the years there was not one time, not once where I brought my laptop to finalize a session of work at the model's home. Laura was the first and if I can remember correctly, she asked me. And so, I brought it. Laura and I met, and we basically worked out of her apt. followed up by a ride out to an outdoor location to shoot at. Stickney Brooke in Brattleboro VT was the place. It was an eye opening for sure. I loved it and it became a location I liked a lot and brought others too to shoot. Model Anna Ling as well later one when we met.

Getting back to the focus, Laura and I believe worked 2 times and in those 2 times it was very simple. Sometimes not always for me but one's personal space, home environment can work. The older built homes have rich character and interior design. Solid bones and the exact amount of natural light coming in through the windows.

Laura modeled well and her body glowed in the in natural light. The first time we worked it was early morning, so we had warm tones of light and the second time around we had late morning light close to afternoon. She knew how to give solid eye contact to the lens and body posture. The poses were simple and relaxed which I learned fast by having the opportunity to photograph in someone's comfort they are nothing more than that. They present it clear as day in each shot. Body is relaxed and their expressions become welcoming saying, this is me and nothing more nothing less. I loved working with her, and it was special. everyone is special. Each photography session makes their own mark. Laura made hers it was calm and elegant, candid and flat out real.
