I look back at the earlier days of MPVISIONS and how I used to travel more. I made it pretty much a must to do. I enjoyed scouting out Locations. Whether they were abandoned buildings, or places that involved streams, creeks, paths in the woods or on rocks. Take this photograph of this young woman. This was her secret place. If I remember correctly this was handed down to her so having access to it was special. I never once asked her to use it for any other shoots except for her own shoot ideas. The freedom to run free around your own property nude and the surroundings were just inspiring and how the paths were with light coming through the trees were rich. I remember driving out there to meet her and at the time she drove a yellow jeep wrangler. I think it was yellow but I could be wrong. The drive out there from where we met was scenic and very photogenic. The time of the shoot was morning, that I know and remember because the drive out there from where I was located was long. Apon arrival I was taken back by it all. After we pulled in and park it was right to work we went and it was fun. She was in your element and everywhere I looked around this beauty was coming up with poses and spots to pose for my camera. I honestly lost track of time during one point just because I was just loving the time being spent and photographing her. It is different I feel when you shoot someone in their place rather than somewhere that isn't. It is still quite fun and fucking cool but when in your spot it just makes you feel you are safe and you can do pretty much whatever the fuck you want. To sum this up the photo in this blog I chose because it is my favorite due to the light casting down on her body and her chose of her pose long gating her body as well. Another is the colors of the surroundings of the trees and running water and subtle reflections. And if you look close you can see her reflection as well.
It was a special shoot with her and a gift for her because she wanted to this as well. I haven't traveled much these days for such shoots as cool as this was but perhaps down the road I will return to such 2hr drives to a that right location. That spot I feel will bring out such a strong series of shots. we will see.
